About Aberdovey Golf Club

Aberdovey is proud to boast a championship links golf course which is consistently rated in the Top 100 Golf Courses in the UK and Ireland.

In 2017 the Club celebrated its 125th anniversary, having been founded in July 1892. Three of the legendary architects of the early 20th century, Harry Colt, James Braid and Herbert Fowler, have all had a hand in shaping Aberdovey as it stands today.

Over the years the Club has been graced by many famous visitors and we are delighted to have Ian Woosnam and Peter Baker, respectively Captain and Vice-Captain of the 2006 European Ryder Cup team, amongst our Members.

Aberdovey Golf Club has played host to many national and international competitions in its time. The Welsh Seniors' Championship has made Aberdovey its usual home and the Welsh Hickory Championships are also held annually here. It is testament to the fact that Aberdovey truly is a fine test of links golf.
